Presidents Message: Jon Puryear |
![]() Jon Puryear is a nationally sought after speaker, educator, lecturer, and EMS consultant. He began his career in 1983 as a volunteer for his local ambulance service. Jon volunteered without any EMS experience or training and then began his own training adventure. First he completed CPR, then basic first aid, then became certified as a Texas DSHS Emergency Care Attendant (ECA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Intermediate (EMT-I), and finally Paramedic (EMT-P). Jon was a professional rodeo clown until he broke his neck and ruptured some disks in the cervical spine. Today, Jon is still living his cowboy dream by owning several horses, participating on the MedStar Mounted EMS Team Jon began teaching his 16 hour National Registry Prep/Review Class in 2002 and has performed hundreds of these classes around the country. His other classes have also been taught across the country to Fire Departments, EMS Providers, colleges, State EMS conferences, EMS Today conferences, and contracted by several companies. Now, since this is his full time business, his dream has come true as he is able to fulfill his passion of teaching his favorite topics to individuals wishing to learn! |
